About Adonica
My work did not begin in coaching.
It began on a school bus — and a conviction that has never left me: people deserve to feel safe, seen, and valued.

Where It Began
I remember stepping off a school bus in tears after being teased for everything that made me different. Something settled in me that day. Not anger, but clarity.
People deserve to feel safe, seen, and valued.
I did not have the language for it then, but that moment quietly shaped the path I would follow.
A Lesson About Space
Years later, working in social work, I supported a non-verbal university student navigating systems that were not built with her in mind. We moved through classes, frustrations, laughter, and relationships together. She was never the problem. The system was.
What stayed with me was not just what she faced, but how much changed when she was met with patience, respect, and belief. When the space changed, she could show up differently.
That insight has never left me.
Coaching gave me the language and the practice for what I had always sensed.
Two Decades of Practice
Over the past two decades, I have worked with coaches and leaders around the world, supporting them to slow down, reflect, and notice how they are showing up — especially under pressure. Not to fix themselves, but to understand themselves. Because when that shifts, everything else begins to shift with it.
I have accumulated more than 5,000 hours of facilitation and 3,000 hours of coaching, and I built an internal coaching network within a 35,000+ person organisation.
Leadership Excellence Award
For that work, I received a Leadership Excellence Award recognising my contribution to developing coaching capacity and supporting people to lead from within.
The Same Work, Another Form
Alongside my coaching work, my husband Darren and I co-created Ogopogo Tours, a sustainable and inclusive tourism business rooted here in the Okanagan.
At first glance, it may seem like a different world. For me, it is the same work expressed in another form.
Ogopogo Tours — Inclusion in Every Step
We designed Ogopogo Tours with the same values that guide my coaching: inclusion, care, presence, and respect for each person’s experience.
Whether I am in a coaching conversation or hosting someone on a tour, I am paying attention to the same thing. How does this space feel? Do people feel welcome, at ease, and able to be themselves?
Because when they do, something opens.
Accessible Tourism Recognition
Ogopogo Tours has been recognised for its commitment to accessible and inclusive tourism — a reflection of the same values that run through every aspect of our work.
What I Bring Today
Today, my work integrates neuroscience, cultural safety, trauma-informed practices, and the Being Profile®. As a Level 4 Facilitator of Cultivating Safe Spaces, I support people to begin with themselves, knowing the spaces we cultivate externally are always shaped by what is happening internally.
I do not believe coaching is about having the answers.
I believe it is about creating the conditions where people can reflect honestly, see clearly, and choose how they want to show up.
That is the work I am here to do.
Life Outside the Coaching Room
When I am not in a coaching conversation or facilitating, you will likely find Darren and me out on the water. We love sailing — the quiet focus it demands, the way it asks you to read conditions and respond rather than force, is not so different from good coaching.
We also share our home with cats who have very strong opinions about laps, morning routines, and the appropriate amount of attention. They are unfailingly good at slowing things down, which is, as it turns out, something I endorse.
Living in the Okanagan means we are surrounded by a community and landscape we love. It keeps us grounded in what matters.
